IVY is inventory and Point-Of-Sale and electronic cataloging software for the
aftermarket collision parts business and aftermaket auto body parts.
Ivy has automatic inventory
adjustment from invoicing, Quote Notes screen, customer file, complete
sales history file, inventory editing spread-sheet screen, payables file
and much more.
IVY is specially configured for purchasing, inventorying, looking up, and
selling of aftermarket auto body and collision parts from China and Taiwan
as well as the United States.
Looking up the correct application for a collision part requires a
catalog that tells what vehicle makes-models-years a part will fit.
IVY has 2 methods of working with catalog data: Internal catalog and
External catalog.
IVY Internal Catalog
IVY comes with a built in electronic cataloging database that can be
loaded with application data from Excel™ spreadsheets that come from your
body parts vendors. Normally when you get a shipment or container from an
offshore supplier you will get with it an invoice or catalog spreadsheet
of the application data needed to sell the parts you have purchased.
IVY has a utility program that reads your application data and loads it
into the internal IVY catalog. This enables fast look-up of the parts you
have purchased by make-model-year in the IVY Catalog Look-Up Screen.
IVY External Catalog
Application data publishers, such as ABPA, offer aftermarket body parts
electronic cataloging data on CD or in a separate Windows program such as
Microsoft Access™. You may wish to subscribe¹ to an external catalog to
obtain more accurate and timely catalog data than can be obtained directly
from your suppliers. You can then use your external catalog in the usual
way, do the part look-up in the external catalog by make-model-year. Then
use IVY to read your external catalog data directly from the screen and
look in your IVY database to see if you have the items wanted.
IVY other features
Look up items by part number, by cross-reference number, by catalog
application, by description, by vendor product line, by make and model, or
by any phrase or string found in the record or catalog file such as
casting #, stamping #, etc. The Part-Finder menu comes with over 600 part
types and descriptions and the Model-Finder menu contains over 400 makes
and models of vehicles. This complete inventory and POS package includes PO
program for writing Purchase Orders and automatically restocking those POs.
Also has the customer pricing matrix where special customers can be given
different price breaks for different product lines or vendors. IVY can also
handle on-going job tickets (invoices) for automotive or other job shops
where items from inventory are assigned to specific on-going jobs. Up to
96 items per Job invoice; these items may be inventory parts/supplies, shop
labor, or parts & services purchased outside. Reconciles on-hand and
dedicated job inventory.
Parts Inventory only
SYFILE Parts Inventory Only.....................$375
SYFILE is for operations that do not need point-of-sale invoice printing
or sales tracking. It includes Part-Finder and Model-Finder menus,
inventory editor, report printing menu, and string searches for
application data. Print parts lists, inventory bar code tags²,
pages of parts for sale. There are fields for part location, vendor,
application notes. SYFILE can be used for any parts inventory where no
sales history or customer file is needed. Having the basic SYFILE inventory,
you can later upgrade to one of the other Rossknecht Software programs- IVY,
UCARS or the Salvage Yard system with no data conversion needed.
